What is the difference between Dietitian Verified and Dietitian Screened?

Our dietitian team has reviewed and verified the menu, ingredients and allergen information in full. We have not confirmed processes around cross contact or food preparation. 

 

If you have a food allergy you should still always notify the venue.

 

Dietitian Screened

Our dietitian team has done a menu screening for you! We’ve reviewed the restaurant’s menu using all publicly available menu information. However, we have not worked with the restaurants directly to confirm these details. Ingredient and recipe information may be missing and in such cases, our dietitians have used generic recipes and common food ingredients.

 

For those with food allergies, we recommend viewing our “dietitian verified” as these are more accurate than Dietitian Screened locations.

How does Foodini get its “Dietitian Verified” information?

Our dietitian team gets this ingredient information either by working directly with the venue to confirm, or from the venue’s publicly available and comprehensive ingredients list.

Will Foodini add more diets or allergens for users to select? I have a food allergy or follow a diet that isn’t on the list.

Yes – we currently have over 150+ allergens and diets available to select from, however we have a number of additional allergens, medical diets and lifestyle diets that we will be adding over the coming months. You can submit missing ingredients, allergens or diets from within the app, so our dietitian team can review it. But you can also send us an email with your suggestion to info@getfoodini

Why are there no suitable venues near me?

In the United States, we have just launched in LA (December 2024), but will be quickly expanding throughout the country over the coming months. Please reach out if you want us to expedite your city next 😉
In Australia we already cover every major city and the biggest regions with close to 10k restaurants on the platform. And as we continue to grow this number, we are always interested in tips from the Foodini Family.

You can submit your favourite dietary friendly venues directly via the app (> Settings) or by sending us an email to info@getfoodini.com.

Can I order food directly from the Foodini app?

We currently link to the food delivery service a restaurant has nominated and you have to place your order with the food delivery service independent of Foodini’s menu. However, we are working with the leading food delivery brands on integrating Foodini’s custom dietary menu more seamlessly to make it even easier to order the right food for you!

Should I leave a review after eating or ordering from somewhere?

Most definitely. Our community relies on its members providing honest feedback on restaurants and businesses so that they can make an informed decision on whether a restaurant is suitable for them.

Is every partner on Foodini a restaurant?

No – Foodini has a great range of partners including restaurants, hotels, cafes, bars, events, and packaged goods companies. We will continue to expand so that we can provide our service everywhere you interact with food.

Can Foodini guarantee that ingredient information is accurate?

Foodini’s personalized menus help identify the ingredients in menu items, and match them to the dietary profile you have created. While Foodini takes all best efforts to ensure the accuracy of the information on the platform, because we do not prepare the food, we cannot provide any guarantees. All content on the platform relating to food items, ingredients, allergens and the preparation of food items is provided solely by the relevant venues, or using the venue’s comprehensive ingredient and menu information publicly available online (for verified venues), or based on publicly available information which may be incomplete (for screened venues). Foodini does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of such information.

Please ensure you inform the venue if you have a food allergy or are concerned about cross contact.

What if I have a severe allergy or anaphylaxis?

If you have an allergy or are anaphylaxis, you must always inform the venue of your allergy. We recommend asking the venue if they are able to safely cater to you based on your personal situation.

Can I have multiple dietary profiles?

Yes! You can have multiple dietary profiles for your family / friends or just for yourself if you want to try avoid different foods at different times.

What does it mean if an item is “Matched”?

A matched item means that it contains ingredients making it suitable to eat based on the specific dietary profile which is searching.

What does it mean if an item is in the “With Changes” section?

This means that the item can be modified by the restaurant to make it suitable for your dietary profile. Click into the item to see further details on what ingredients can be substituted to make it suitable.

What does it mean if an item is in the “Not Suitable” section?

This means that the item is not suitable for your dietary profile and that you should avoid it. If you select the item, we will show you the specific ingredient(s) that makes it unsuitable for your dietary profile.

Do I get ongoing support from the registered dietitian?

Yes, our team of dietitians will be available to support your business as required.

How will Foodini support my business?

Foodini will support your business on an ongoing basis by providing you with ongoing access to our registered dietitian as required, ongoing social and email marketing promotion, access to special offers and discounts through our partners and access to our amazing community of influencers and business partners as required.

Will it take me a lot of time and effort to partner with Foodini?

No, all you need to do is send us your menu and ingredients list! We then onboard your menu to our portal and send you the login details for your review.

Is it difficult to partner with Foodini?

No, in fact it’s simple! All we need from you is your menu and ingredients list – our registered dietitian does the rest!

Why should I partner with Foodini?
